JIM ANDERSON

Head of Corporate Development. Responsible for all External Funded Projects at Local, Regional and International Level including European Social Funds. Worked within Anniesland/Glasgow Clyde College for 37 years as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Project manager and is currently Head of EU/International and all External Funded Projects. Involved in EU project since 1990 and has experience of EU and LLP management and finances through using his years of college experience to ensure that project delivers and meets the full requirements of project funders - EACEA.

Has experience in the delivery of ECVET, is an ECVET Scottish Network Expert and recently has provided training within the Malopolski Region of Poland on the ECVET process to the local education authorities.

LESLEY MARTIN

Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer Adult & Continuing Education: School of Employability. Responsible for management of Employability programmes at Glasgow Clyde College Langside aimed at 16+ learners, Princes Trust and delivery of Esol Transitions and the Professional Development Award (PDA): Teaching Literacies Tutors in the Community and teaching observation. 

I have been employed by Anniesland/ Glasgow Clyde College for 19 years as a Lecturer/Project Manager/ Senior Lecturer in Learner Development and Extended Learning Support, as well as working on European and International projects working with  disadvantaged groups and groups of students who were alienated from learning for one reason or another.

Other Projects I have been involved in are: TALIS; Back to Work, Greater Opportunities & Access to Learning Project (GOAL) and working with international partners in Asia and the near East and North Africa on a number of cross-college, subject specific areas as part of the British Council PMI2 programme.

FRANK DRECOLL

Frank studied educational science and was literacy trainer from 1978 to 1990. Has been working as a trainer-trainer. Initiated the first international conference on literacy in Germany in 1980: “A Right to Read. Illiteracy in the Federal Republic of Germany”. For 21 years (1991 – 2012), Frank had been active as a project manager for Basic Education, Literacy Work and Corporate E-Learning, personnel director and consultant for Corporate E-Learning.

From 2007 to 2011 Frank  co-ordinated project PROFESS – Professionalization in Literacy and Basic Skills, which was funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Six universities and higher education institutes  developed the first academical Master Qualification for trainers in Literacy provision in Germany. The Master of Arts “Literacy and Basic Skills” can be studied at University of Weingarten. Today he is a project coordinator for Workplace Literacy at Stiftung Berufliche Bildung in Hamburg and responsible for the German ShareIT project.

CHRISTA SIEDER

Christa kommt aus Niederösterreich und studierte Germanistik (mit Schwerpunkt Deutsch als Fremd- und Zweitsprache) und Anglistik in Wien. Seit 2011 hält sie Basisbildungs- und Alphabetisierungskurse bei der BHW Niederösterreich GmbH mit Sitz in St. Pölten/NÖ; in diesen Kursen lernen Menschen mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund gemeinsam. Das Thema "individuelle Lernziele" ist in diesen Kursen essentiell und auch ihre Herzensangelegenheit. Seit 2015 arbeitet sie auch als Bildungs- und Berufsberaterin in der BHW NÖ GmbH. Internationale Erfahrungen sind ihr besonders wichtig - ShareIT in der Schweiz war deshalb ein absolutes Highlight!

LINDA McFALL

I have been an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and languages teacher for more than 30 years, both in the UK and abroad.

I am now a Senior Lecturer in Further Education, working with a full range of ESOL students including International, Migrant Workers, Asylum Seekers, Refugees, and Local Ethnic Minorities to develop their language and employability skills.

I have participated in a variety of European Projects on integration and employment pathways for speakers of other languages, developed language and employability packages for students to gain access to the labour market and been involved in teacher training for basic skills and language learning.  These projects include EUKCEM: www.eu_mobity.eu, E_EPSOL: www.e-epsol.eu and Back To Work: www.backtowork-eu.com

 

 

MARIA MADALENA BRAGANÇA FONTES-SAILLER

Dra. Maria Madalena Bragança Fontes-Sailler, M.A., hat vor 18 Jahren ihre Tätigkeit im OeAD begonnen. Die gebürtige Portugiesin absolvierte ein Philosophiestudium an der Universität Porto und unterrichtete danach zwei Jahre Philosophie an einem Gymnasium in Portugal. Es folgten ein einjähriges Praktikum bei der Industriellenvereinigung von Nordportugal sowie ein post- graduales Joint Masterstudium aus European Tourism Management an Universitäten in England und Deutschland. Fontes-Sailler war viele Jahre im internationalen Schul-, Hochschul- und Erwachsenen-bildungsbereich tätig und lebte neben Österreich und Portugal insgesamt sieben Jahre in Israel, Russland und Belgien. Sie spricht neben ihrer Muttersprache Portugiesisch fließend Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und Spanisch und verfügt über Grundkenntnisse aus Italienisch und Russisch.
